Club boat

We regularly dive across the United Kingdom from our RIB, the Mike Maloney.

Namesake

Named after Mike Maloney, one of the first members to join Holborn in 1961, our boat spans 6.5 metres with a 175 horsepower engine. It can accommodate up to 8 divers.

During the UK diving season, we generally keep the boat at Portland Harbour and dive along the South Coast of England.

Radio

Standard Horizon GX1600 Explorer, which can be used as a normal VHF set, but is also fully GMDSS capable and utilises Digital Selective Calling (DSC).

GPS

Humminbird 997c Si Combo that includes a GPS receiver/echo sounder and side scan sonar. The unit is now classified as the 998c SI Combo after a software upgrade.
